“Pray at all times (on every occasion, in every season) in the Spirit, with all [manner of] prayer and entreaty. To that end keep alert and watch with strong purpose and perseverance, interceding in behalf of all the saints (God's consecrated people).” Eph. 6:18 AMPC Keep alert and watch. Many people with strange doctrines have crept into the churches to deceive even the elect. God’s secret for you to overcome the world, the flesh and the devil is for you to watch and pray. “Keep awake and watch and pray [constantly], that you may not enter into temptation; the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Mark 14:38 AMPC. Mark the prayer of Jesus for Peter: “And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.” Luke 22:31-32 NKJV Father, help me to remain steadfast in faith.
