“Did God say, “You must not eat the fruit from any tree in the garden”? Is that really true?’” Genesis 3:1 EASY God created man in His image, and was enjoying his relationship and fellowship with God. God placed man in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it. He gave man all that he needed and also the principles that govern it. In as much as man remained obedient, there was a close fellowship between God and man. There is a lot of deception in the world and Christians can not afford to be careless or ignorant. Satan confused Eve about the specificity of what God said. God’s command was precise, “Then the Lord God told the man, ‘You may eat the fruit from any tree in the garden, as much as you like. But you must not eat any fruit from the tree that gives knowledge of good and evil. If you do eat fruit from that tree, then you will certainly die that day’. ” Gen. 2:16-17 EASY. Eve was likely confused because it was not given to her directly but she should have asked her husband. Be properly acquainted with the word of God so that Satan will not confuse you. Pay attention to what God says, listen carefully and don’t be distracted. Father, help me to pay attention to what you say and always keep them in my heart, IJN. Shalom!
