“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.” John 14:1 KJV
As Christians, we are encouraged not to let our hearts be troubled because Jesus Christ made several promises before His departure from the earth.
Among these promises are the sending of the Holy Spirit, spiritual power, answered prayers, peace, and most importantly, His return.
Jesus assured us in John 14:16, "And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you forever."
In Acts 1:8, He stated, "But you shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you; and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."
Jesus also promised, "If ye shall ask anything in my name, I will do it" John 14:14.
Jesus left us with His peace to dispel our worries, as stated in John 14:27,
Is there any benefit in troubling your heart?
Beloved, cease from troubling your heart and start living in the strength and promises of The Almighty God through Jesus Christ.
Father, please teach me to rest my heart on your unfailing promises IJN
Shalom!
