“Yet I am confident I will see the Lord’s goodness while I am here in the land of the living.” Psalms 27:13 NLT The psalmist placed his confidence in God. He called God his light and salvation and the strength of his life. He was sure that he would overcome every attack of the wicked and his enemies. Trials come to everyone, but unbelief is the undoing of man. “Be careful then, dear brothers and sisters. Make sure that your own hearts are not evil and unbelieving, turning you away from the living God.” Hebrews 3:12 NLT. Unbelief is of the devil; it’s like confronting God, that He doesn’t mean what He says or that He is incapable of performing what He promised to do. You can only please God by living in faith (Heb 11:6). “Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us.” Psa 62:8 NKJV. The Lord is your shepherd and you can depend on Him in the valley to the shadow of death. “Ye, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and your staff, they comfort me” (Psa 23:4). The proper knowledge of God’s presence with you will help you overcome the fear of evil. Father, I commit myself to You. I lean on You and I confidently hope in You. Kingdom Blessings!
