“When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.” John 19:30 KJV
"Good Friday" is indeed remarkable, it marked the full expression of God's wrath on sin. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, became the victim, humiliated, beaten, ridiculed, and mocked by man.
He was nailed to the cross, a horrifying punishment reserved for the worst criminals. Hell may have briefly rejoiced in this apparent victory—three hours of darkness.
But then, our Lord gave His final declaration, ending His earthly ministry with the words, "It is finished."
Yes, everything concerning our salvation, healing, deliverance, and our full restoration was completed. The temple curtain tore, opening the Holy of Holies to all, granting direct access to God's throne of grace, and breaking down the dividing wall.
Do you see your situation as hopeless, Does the enemy seem to be celebrating over you, Be encouraged! The final victory is yours.
God's light will shine again in your life. Your morning of joy has come. Jesus won!
The darkness of Friday and the despair of Saturday vanished when the Lord of resurrection rose triumphantly early on Sunday. We too, will live forever!
Thank You, Lord! Because You live, I shall live IJN.
Shalom!
